Latest News and Notices:

17th June 2008

The HRRL AGM (where next year's races finalised) was held at Wide Lane on 16th June. Twelve fixtures for next season have been decided and are updated in the Local Race Diary. Race Directors may update this diary with details of their events - update permission will be granted on request to the league secretary (see contact page).  If any event is cancelled it will be discarded from the league.

The league was extended to 12 races partly to allow for a potential increase in the risk of cancellations, due to new Health and Safety policies. It also introduces further redundancy to allow clubs to manage clashes they may have with other events. The team thresholds will be unchanged - only the men's best 8 results and ladies' best 7 will be counted.  The individual leagues will now count the best 7 results from 12 instead of 6 from 10, thus allowing up to 5 races to be dropped.

Next season's B-League will be split into two divisions, as agreed at the May 19th Road Race Clubs meeting.  This is tentatively indicated by a pink line in the league list summary, but is subject to how many clubs join or rejoin the league.

In all there were 3,446 HRRL runs in all races, up 13% on 2006-7 - see club stats.  Let's see if we can do even better next year!
